Tell the EPA: No PFAS in Our Food!

Toxic 'forever chemicals' (or PFAS) have been found everywhere - including in our blood, breast milk, and drinking water. And once they're out there, they don't break down, causing cancer, infertility, birth defects, and who knows what else.

What's even worse is that PFAS are also ingredients in pesticide formulations, as well as the containers they're stored in, meaning they're sprayed all over our food!

It's a public health crisis – and our government is not doing enough to stop it. But we're going to change that right now.

Our legal team just filed a petition with the EPA demanding it cancel all registrations of active and inert pesticide ingredients that qualify as PFAS. Now we need to overwhelm them with public pressure to act.

Can you add your name to demand the EPA ban these terrifying forever chemicals for good?

Comment to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency:

I am writing to you as an individual concerned with your agency's lack of regulation surrounding toxic forever chemicals like PFAS - especially as it relates to their use in our food system.

Although the EPA has recently taken some steps in the right direction to regulate PFAS by setting enforceable limits in drinking water and banning some PFAS in food packaging, it's nowhere near enough to protect us.

PFAS are ingredients in pesticides and the containers they're stored in, which means they end up directly on the food we eat. Center for Food Safety has filed a petition with the EPA demanding your agency cancel all registrations of active and inert pesticide ingredients that qualify as PFAS.

It's time for the EPA to address this huge public health problem by getting PFAS out of our food for good.

In order to protect the health of all Americans, I urge EPA to respond to the Center for Food Safety's petition and take immediate action to remove PFAS from pesticides.
