We’re Stopping the Toxic Pesticide Treadmill That’s Ending Up on Your Plate

For decades, the chemical industry promised that genetically engineered (GE) crops would reduce pesticide use. The exact opposite happened.

We are now trapped on a toxic treadmill. The widespread use of GE crops has forced farmers to spray more chemicals more often. As weeds evolve to survive, the industry’s only "solution" is to engineer crops that can withstand even more toxic cocktails. It is a cycle of chemical escalation with no end in sight.

This treadmill ends in your kitchen. As spraying has skyrocketed, the EPA has quietly raised the legal limits for pesticide residues in our food. This did not happen because the chemicals became safer; it happened to accommodate Big Ag. Today, glyphosate is found in everyday staples like bread, pasta, and breakfast cereal.

The most alarming part? The government is flying blind. The USDA and FDA have almost entirely ignored glyphosate in their testing. This leaves us in the dark about the cumulative impact of these toxins on our health and our children.

Center for Food Safety is in court to break this cycle. We are challenging the registration of toxic pesticides like dicamba and fighting to restore your right to know exactly what is in your food.

The pesticide treadmill will not slow down on its own. Industry keeps pushing forward unless we stop them.

Our court date is approaching fast. Can you help us level the playing field and put the brakes on this toxic system?
