Across the country, politicians and the pesticide industry are pushing legislation that could give them legal liability shields from harm caused by their toxic products. Several of these measures are already included in the 2026 Farm Bill draft! Can you tell your representative in the House to oppose sections 1025, 1026, and 1027?
Section 10205 – Corporate Immunity from Lawsuits
This provision could eliminate the right of harmed individuals to sue pesticide manufacturers if companies comply with already-weak federal labeling requirements.
Section 10206 – Stripping State and Local Protections
This provision could strip states and communities of their authority to set stricter pesticide protections than the federal government.
Section 10207 – Weakening Environmental Safeguards
This provision could exempt EPA-approved pesticides from further critical environmental reviews that protect waterways, federal lands, and endangered species.
Thanks to the efforts of activists like you, the tide is turning against the pesticide companies–- but the industry won’t throw in the towel, so we can’t let up either. Can you send a message to your representative today that these Farm Bill measures are unacceptable?
