No more secret GMOs!

Up to 70% of genetically modified food in the supermarket is not labeled AT ALL, thanks to a loophole that allows 'highly refined' foods that contain GMO ingredients to skip the labels!

To stop corporations from hiding GMO ingredients from their customers, Center for Food Safety is fighting in court to force USDA to require labeling of all GMO foods on the package. But “Big Ag” special interests have intervened in the case, allowing them to send their army of attorneys to try to help the government beat us in court.

This lawsuit is our best hope to ensure we know when we're buying GMO products, but we'll need all the support we can get in our long fight ahead. We need YOUR HELP to overwhelm USDA with comments in support of robust and transparent labeling of GMO foods to give us the best shot at victory.

Can you add your name now? We've already written the comment for you!

Message to USDA:

I am writing to you today as an informed consumer who is concerned with USDA's weak rules around on-package GMO labeling. Approximately 70% of genetically engineered ingredients in foods on supermarket shelves are "highly refined" GMO ingredients such as corn and soy oils that may not be detectable via testing as a result of processing.

Under your agency's current rules, these “highly refined” GMO products are allowed on shelves with no labeling indicating they are genetically modified.

As the environmental and health consequences of this novel technology are still emerging, it is imperative that consumers have the right to know and are able to make informed decisions about the food they eat.

In order to protect the environment and the health of all Americans, I urge the USDA to immediately close the “highly refined” loophole and require mandatory labeling for all GMO food products.

Will you sign?
